Firstly, what are Henna Brows?
Like a tint, but better! Henna allows you to color not only the hairs, but also the skin, giving you a much better colour pay-off that is richer in colour and longer lasting. Like a regular tint, it can colour the hairs for up to 6-7 weeks, however, depending on skin type, the colour can last on your skin for up to 2 weeks rather than washing off in a couple of days! What does this mean for you? Less time maintaining your brows and more time enjoying them!
Why do I love them?
If you know me, you'll know that I absolutely LOVE using products on myself and my clients that are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free and contain more natural ingredients. Henna is a natural dye made from a plant known as the Hina or Henna tree, and has a long history of being used for cosmetic colouring. Here at Bespoke Brows we use a henna that is formulated specifically for the cosmetic application to eyebrows, and this particular brand is vegan and cruelty-free (FIST PUMP!). Not only this, but it has the added benefit of gently caring for damaged and weak hairs, and even has the ability to restore eyebrow hair growth!
So who are Henna Brows good for?
Anyone! Especially if you love the look of a tint when just fresh but just wish it lasted longer, or if you don't want to have to fill your brows in everyday but aren't ready to commit to a cosmetic tattoo. With that being said, I highly recommend giving Henna Brows a go if you are considering having a cosmetic eyebrow tattoo but aren't sure how you will look with brows in a new shape and colour.
I, personally, henna my own brows regularly as I naturally have very sparse brows, and tinting just doesn't give me the depth of colour and longevity that I like on myself. My eyebrows are tattooed, however they have faded significantly as they are about 6 years old, and henna allows me to boost the colour so I don't have to worry about them for a little while!
